The typical connection between Baofeng UV-5R or UV-3R to smartphone/tablet PC for APRS. The VOX must be activated in menu (typical value 7). Use a program APRSDroid in your smartphone or tablet PC ($4.99). The wiring is OK only for Android based smartphones and Samsung Tabs.
On some radios you might need use a resistors 470 ohms in series of mic and speaker line.
